The Pharmaceutical Chemistry Department is involved in teaching and research activities for undergraduate (B. Pharm) and post graduate program (Masters in Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance) and also offers PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry.

- The areas of research include: department has research interests lie in Synthetic, analytical & Medicinal chemistry, focusing on the design & synthesis of bioactive compounds as well as intermediate molecules for various therapeutic categories as per Syl.
- The department has focus on Drug design, drug synthesis, molecular docking studies, and analytical method development.
- By using CADD and molecular docking techniques department has interest to design various newer molecular derivatives having broad spectrum of activities.
- Encourage student research projects, publications, and patents.
- Department has Collaborations with the industry and academia for internships and training.
- Microwave assisted Synthesis, characterization of new chemical entities and their evaluation carried out in the department.
